African Basket

BIAFRA  African baskets are symbolic of many things, including practical use, cultural history, and symbolism: Heritage culture African basketry is a symbol of the rich cultural legacy of the African people. They may be exclusive to a certain community and bear its influence. For instance, Rwandan women who have lost loved ones may band together to make baskets in an effort to restore their communities and foster peace. It is believed that the zigzag designs found frequently in Rwandan baskets represent ladies holding hands.
